Apple unveiled new MacBook at WWDC
On Monday, Apple Inc., the world’s most valuable company, announced its new MacBook with a super-high resolution Retina display during the Worldwide Developers Conference 2012 in San Francisco.
According to sources, the next generation laptop, Mac Book Pro, will have 15-inch “retina display” and 2880 x 1800 pixels.
Phil Schiller, senior vice president of worldwide marketing, said that new device will be the thinner version of what we’ve seen in Apple’s notebooks in the past. It comes with a new Intel chip, more iCloud integration and a complete absence of an optical drive.
It is “the most beautiful computer we’ve ever made,” Schiller said. “There has never been a notebook this thin, this light, and this powerful. It’s an engineering breakthrough,” he added.
Apple said the new version of MacBook Pro will cost $2,199 and up. The company showed also smaller versions of the Pro starting at $1,000.
