Apple And Amazon May Not Be The Biggest Stocks In 10 Years Time

Apple and Amazon have been the market darlings for the last few years during this unprecedented bull market rally, but they are starting to lose some of that lustre.

In yesterday’s post, I talked about how timing is everything when I looked at a trade where my thesis was correct, but my timing was slightly off.

Today lets take an even further step back and look at some of the largest companies in the US and the world by decade.

Some interesting names here including some that are no longer with us. The thing that stands out to me is that there are very few companies who remain at the top for an extended period.

AT&T had a good run as did General Motors, General Electric, IBM and Microsoft. Only a few companies have managed to stay in the top 2-3 for more than 10 years.

The world is moving at a faster and faster pace every year and I can just imagine some startup who is currently in it’s infancy entering or taking over this list by 2030.

Maybe it will be something in the AI, robotics, drone technology or 3D printing space?

One thing is for certain though, the top 10 of 2018 will not be the same in 2030.

Trade safe!
